How we price

What we quoteis what your invoice says, and nothing added on install day.

Five named conditions can change a boiler quote. We list them plainly. That's it.

The promise

Five things we commit to, in writing.

Commitment 01

The price on your quote is the price on your invoice.

No "discovered issues" surcharges for things we could have foreseen in our own survey. No creative interpretations of the scope. The invoice matches the quote.

Commitment 02

Changes only happen if the survey finds one of five named conditions.

The list is below. Those conditions are listed in your quote plainly, not buried in ten-point terms.

Commitment 03

If a condition triggers a change, we tell you before any work proceeds.

No "we're already here, might as well do it" pressure conversations. If we find work outside the price, we stop, price it in writing and wait for your approval. If you decline, we leave the system safe and refund your deposit, less the call-out.

Commitment 04

No fees that aren't in the headline price.

No administration fees. No booking fees. No credit-card processing fees. No documentation fees. No "out of hours" fees unless the install is genuinely booked out of standard working hours.

Commitment 05

No contingency padding.

We don't inflate quotes with speculative "just-in-case" margins. If the work turns out to take less time than estimated, we don't cut the invoice. But we also don't pad it in the other direction. The price is what we actually expect the work to cost.

Always included

What a fixed boiler price already covers.

Things other installers routinely quote as extras. With us they are in the headline price.

Boilers & first-time central heating10 items · included as standard

Boiler (make, model, output kW confirmed)

The main unit itself, supplied and fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Brand and model in writing, not “a modern efficient boiler.”

Often charged extra elsewhere

n/a

Manufacturer guarantee registration

We register the guarantee in your name on install day. Terms run from 5 to 12 years by tier, and depend on registration, the manufacturer's filter and a yearly service.

Often charged extra elsewhere

Frequently not done. Many customers discover years later their warranty was never registered

The manufacturer's own system filter

The filter the manufacturer's guarantee depends on. Catches the metal particles that damage boilers.

Often charged extra elsewhere

£150–£200

Boiler Plus compliant smart control

A smart control with automation and optimisation, or weather compensation where the boiler supports it. Fitted, set up and shown to you at handover.

Often charged extra elsewhere

£180–£250

Chemical flush, cleanse and inhibitor

A full chemical flush and inhibitor to BS 7593 before the new boiler is connected. A new boiler on a dirty system is a guarantee risk.

Often charged extra elsewhere

£250–£450

Gas Safe certificate and Building Regulations notification

Benchmark commissioning, a Gas Safe certificate and the Building Regulations notification, filed for you.

Often charged extra elsewhere

Should always be £0, but isn’t always provided

Old boiler removal and disposal

Removed, recycled and disposed of by a licensed waste carrier. No skip on your drive.

Often charged extra elsewhere

£60–£120

Standard horizontal flue up to 1 metre

Longer or vertical flues are priced as named lines in your quote before you pay anything.

Often charged extra elsewhere

Wall flue extensions £200–£500

Carbon monoxide alarm

One carbon monoxide alarm fitted with every boiler.

Often charged extra elsewhere

£30–£60

Workmanship warranty

At least 2 years on our work (3 at Advanced, 5 at Signature), on top of your statutory rights.

Often charged extra elsewhere

Often 12 months, or sold separately

Potential extras

What could be added, surfaced before install day.

We show you all possible extras up front, so nothing surprises you.

If we find work outside the price, we stop, price it in writing and wait for your approval. If you decline, we leave the system safe and refund your deposit, less the call-out.

The fine print, in large type

The five conditions that can change your boiler quote.

01

The job is not the one you priced.

If your photos show a different boiler type, position or flue from the one you chose online, the price moves by the published amount for that difference. You see it before you pay anything, and you can walk away having paid nothing.

02

Asbestos in the work area.

Asbestos surveys, testing and removal are not in any price. Older homes can have it around flue routes, boiler enclosures or pipework. If we suspect it, we stop, and a licensed contractor quotes the work separately before anything goes ahead.

03

A flue that needs more than the standard run.

A standard horizontal flue up to 1 metre is in every price. A vertical flue through the roof is £395, a plume kit £85, and each metre of extension beyond the first £85.

04

Gas supply work beyond the boiler.

A meter upgrade, or a larger supply pipe beyond 3 metres, is outside the price. Where one is needed we tell you before work starts, and it is priced separately.

05

Concealed or buried pipework.

If floors, walls or ceilings have to be opened to reach pipework, that work is outside the price. We stop, price it in writing and wait for your approval.

The same standard for every service

Heat pumps, solar, insulation and underfloor heating.

Heat pumps

Three conditions that can change price: BUS grant ineligibility finding, structural issues with outdoor unit siting, electrical supply incapacity. Full list in the heat pump quote.

Solar

Two conditions: roof structural concerns found during fixing, DNO application delays for G99-grid connection. Full list in the solar quote.

Insulation

The survey's moisture assessment is itself the gate; if it fails, we don't proceed. No surprise costs.

Underfloor heating

One main condition: existing sub-floor or screed incompatibility requiring remedial work.
