What is GBIS?

Formerly known as ECO+, the Great British Insulation Scheme is a way of delivering improvements to the least energy efficient homes in Britain. This government energy efficiency scheme is designed to tackle fuel poverty and it may also help to reduce your energy bills.

Can you get support?

The GBIS scheme supports vulnerable and low-income households, plus people living in properties with an Energy Performance Certificate rating of D-G, and within Council Tax bands A-D in England and A-E in Scotland and Wales.

The scheme is available to homeowners, landlords or tenants (with permission from their landlord), whether renting privately or from a housing association.
