Boiler Upgrade Scheme · Eligibility check

Will your home qualify for the £7,500 grant?

A few short questions. Honest verdict at the end, including what to do next if the answer is “not yet”.

Nothing here is binding. The full check happens at survey.

Question 1

Do you own the property? (Landlords and second homes count.)

Only the owner can apply. If you rent, your landlord can apply for the home.

Question 2

Is the property in Great Britain (England, Wales, or Scotland)?

BUS doesn't cover Northern Ireland. Different schemes apply there.

Question 3

What heats the home today?

Off-grid oil and LPG homes can claim £9,000 instead of £7,500 between 21 Jul 2026 and 31 Mar 2027.
